I met her by chance. Her appearance was good and warm and welcoming, which was important because I was a stranger in a new country. I immediately felt comfortable and secure because she understood my needs. Although I did not learn it until later, I think her international, diplomatic background helped greatly and that made me feel secure that she understood me.
Because Sara has had experience living abroad, she understood many cultural and practical differences that were important. (For example, that I would need an adapter for my European electrical equipment in the United States.) Even after the deal was closed, she supported me with assistance with every day matters, like setting up a new bank account and getting utilities set up, which was more difficult for me in a second language.
