In the past 4 years I have bought and sold around a dozen houses and 2 multi-family buildings, all with the Allen Brake Team. Two of these houses were personal homes, one was an AirBnB, and the rest were a mix of flips and rentals. During this same timeframe I bought and sold homes in Akron, OH, Cleveland, OH, Columbus, OH, and Dyersburg, TN.
The Allen Brake team was consistently the easiest to deal with due to their highly proactive nature and well established systems to make sure everything clicked into place. In most of the transactions I had out of state I had to babysit agents through these transactions, reminding them of deadlines, pointing out nuances of offers, suggesting tactical responses. In truth, most of those things I learned from the Allen Brake Team.
The other great thing about this team is that they are not a just a team in name, as you will often find in this industry, but a true team that works together for an end goal. You will run across of a lot of highly unmotivated individuals in this industry, living from commission to commission, not recognizing the impact of the decision and financial commitment you are making. The Allen Brake team is highly motivated, highly coordinated, and provides a consultative approach.

This was the worst experience with a realtor I've had in selling any of my owned homes. The brochure, pictures, and sign placement were fine. However, I didn't always get return calls and in my opinion, his interest was only in getting his commission. I never felt like I had anyone in my corner working with me. I feel Allen's only interest was in his commission. During negotiation, he always said; 'it's not worth losing the deal' when the buyers kept coming back with things they wanted me to pay. He never negotiated it. Allen got commission from the sales price and didn't seem to care how much it cost me.
I feel completely taken advantage of and that I was on my own. It was a constant battle trying to 'work with' Allen. I could never give a positive referral.
The only positive is his assistant Theresa. She was a pleasure to work with. 2016
