Me and my significant other have been searching properties on line. We came across a listing we were interested in. We contacted the agent through realtor.com twice. I have the email confirming both requested. I finally researched the listing agent (Lois Lane) and left a message on her voice mail. She finally contacted back. Not a professional call back to say the least. She first told me it was a 55+ community. I replied, I know, I read it in the listing. I advised her I was 60 years old. She snarked back, you don't sound like it! She didn't talk to me. She talked down to me! It was like I was bothering her! I advised Lois that we needed a place beginning of December but are willing to come in a few weeks earlier. She was so indignant about property needs to be rented before that. I replied " I didn't realize people were beating her door down" to see the property in question." Then she barked a few questions. I answered honestly. I advised her my significant other smokes cigarettes. I advised her he never, never, smokes inside. She barked out "what about smoking in the garage " What is it she didn't get that we DO NOT allow smoking in our home at all. That is what outside seating is for! If smoking was a critical issue, it should have been on the listing! Very unprofessional not to be on the listing! The big stink she made out of it, ! advised her we will be driving to see the property two days following her ignorant phone verbal beat down. I advised I will call on the way. I was 70 miles away. I called Lois Lane after we were half way to the listed property. All she said was " I talked to the owner, absolutely no smokers" knowing I was coming to view the property, I never received a courtesy call about the owners wishes. Not even a referral for possible other listings. When I got off the first phone chat, I was so ticked off. Then I figured she was just having a bad day! After the 2nd belittling, I was totally pissed off! As a realtor she somehow had a bug up her butt against me. Extremely unprofessional realtor. Maybe it's just renters she hates! If she was this arrogant with a rental listing. I hate to see how she treats home buyers. We know the buyers aren't going to get the arrogant bum's rush. Just us lowly renters! 2023
