Carlos went to our business managers instead of us, the clients, directly about the details of the home. You could call this a miscommunication but I would call it manipulation and taking advantage of first-time homeowners under the age of 30. This home is literally, falling apart. Carlos failed to mention all of the issues with the home and instead told us to purchase the house at FULL ASK, that has had flooding and nearly hundreds of thousands of dollars in other mandatory issues needed to be resolved. He was dishonest and found tricks and ways to hide some of the issues with the house, from a non-functioning pool (he called a pool company to tell them to make the pool look nice just for the showing), no overhead lights or working toilet in the MASTER bedroom and bathroom, no working dishwasher, washing machine/dryer, fridge, I could go on and on. We now have serious flooding because the roof is literally falling apart. Carlos insists this was not a rushed process but we were not looking at homes for 2 years straight. I was sick fighting cancer and when we decided we liked this home, again, there was no negation and a lot of secrets that Carlos didn't tell us upfront. Instead he went to our business team and is trying to blame them for not being straightforward with us about the status of the home. That, to me, is not a good real estate agent let alone a good person. My advice- be careful and make sure you know the condition of the home, do not trust Carlos to tell you it's in good shape. To top it off, Carlos gave us dog food and a coffee maker as a gift for a million dollar home? Bad manners and terrible lack of clarity and transparency to young, extremely busy first time-buyers such as my husband and I. A lesson learned, please be cautious. 2020
