We have been looking for several months to find just the right home. Carrie was available at the drop of a hat to show us houses as quickly as we possibly could. She looked at comps in the area so that when we looked at the houses, she was already prepared to answer our questions about proper pricing of the property and whether it was likely to retain or gain value. It was a long journey for us, but I would not have wanted any other realtor walking us through the process!
I loved working with Carrie again; I've known for 4 years that when it was time to sell my house, she was the agent I wanted to work with. If I had one word to describe Carrie it would have to be dedication. My husband and I started the process of looking for a house in the middle of May. The market in Lexington is super hot, and right off the bat we knew we were going to have a difficult time finding anything in our price range worthy of calling "move-in ready", something we had agreed was a must have for us. After about 10 showings in Lexington, upon Carrie's advice, we decided to take our search a little further outside of the city. The next day, we found a brand new house on the outskirts of Richmond, KY (about 30 miles south of Lexington) in a cute new neighborhood. This house was everything we had dreamed of and we were so excited to finally make our offer. Carrie typed up our offer promptly within about 20 minutes and before we knew it we were under contract. That is when s@#! hit the fan. We learned quickly that there was a lot of things wrong with this home and that the builder was not going to do anything to fix them. Carrie worked with us closely, answering calls from me literally every 30 minutes and pretty much playing the role of my personal therapist through the whole ordeal until eventually she suggested backing out of the contract. This was the best decision we have ever made, as later that day Carrie called us to show us a house directly across the street. This house was PERFECT for us and was so much nicer than the one we had put our offer on before. Our offer was typed up in a heartbeat and before we knew it we were moving in to our new home. Through this entire process, Carrie showed enthusiasm, strength, sensibility, empathy and compassion for us and did her absolute best to ensure that we were able to purchase our dream home. I would recommend Carrie to anyone looking for an authentic and knowledgeable agent in the greater Lexington area. This girl knows her stuff and is there to bust her butt for you! We had our house listed FSBO for a while. Carrie contacted us early in the FSBO process (along with several others) and at that time we were not ready to make that commitment. Honestly I didn't want to give up any of my profits to a realtor (the bad guys)lol. After several months of trying to sell on our own, and talking to several realtors that only wanted to basically "quick sell" our home, Carrie called again. This time we were ready, but Carrie wasn't pushy like the others and she genuinely cared. She understood that this was our first home and this was our memories.
