As someone who works in the mortgage business it was refreshing to encounter a local real estate agent who did not fit the atypical mold. Michelle not only worked with me (and my scrutiny of the process) in finding a residence, she also ultimately referred me to a local bank whom I used for my financing opposed to the lender I represent. She was tireless in her efforts in finding me not just a house but a home that met me and my family needs and didnt allow me to give up hope when the market worsened and there was a shortage of available listings on the market.
The purchasing of a home is not as easy as one would think given that there are so many different agendas being served in each transaction however, I always felt that I was the first and only one being served. She was responsive in submitting offers (same day), renegotiations, and presenting me with listings as they became available. After the execution of the contract, she stayed on top of the transaction, inspection scheduling, and ensured communication was being relayed as it was received for both sides to obtain the necessary repairs and fixes negotiated amongst the seller and I. She attended our closing along with her suggested mortgage loan officer and they ensured I understood what I was signing prior to execution.
Post-closing she was just as attentive as she was during the process and when we opened the door to our new home, there was a gift basket with framed family photos, gift cards for local eateries, snacks and the little things you forget youll need when moving in (cleaning supplies, toiletries, etc.).
