For over 2 years now Stephen helped us find a home. When we finally moved to the area in 2021 the hunt intensified. Despite seeing dozens of homes and losing out on 3 different offers because of how crazy the market was(we are picky people), Stephen unflaggingly persisted on and we succeeded on our dream home in the end, which was better than the previous places. He has endurance, patience, competence and excellence and strong integrity. He's a friendly guy and never once failed to call us back or follow up on anything. He has abundant knowledge of state and county codes and regs, he's a fountain of information for building types, water and septic/sewer systems, urban/rural/suburban settings. He understands both the value of emotional reaction to a home as well as the importance of getting all the hard data (ie: actual closed comps, well/septic info, utilities info, community amenities, nearby hazards and benefits, etc. He'd show you a condo in the city in the morning and then put on his boots and trek 20 acres in the country in the afternoon. It is tough tough tough to find a good realtor, especially with how crazy the market got here in the past few years, when you find one you HANG ONTO THEM.

We found Stephen via a listing of a condo he had for a property we knew we wanted. Unfortunately it was already locked down with an offer and backup. Something about our phone conversation told me he wasn't your average relator. So I scheduled a few showings of other properties while we were in town. He never made an assumption on what we would settle for he knew what we ultimately wanted and that was on the water (boating water of any kind). We live out of town and time is of the essence in this market which we learned the hard way the first time another unit came available. He even went and did a video walk through of a house down in Black Rock for us since we couldn't get to the showing. Then after being patient showing us anything we asked for and answering all our questions, one came up and within 45min he messaged me asked if it was the one and he didn't quit until we had an accepted offer that same night which took some doing. I have been working with John and team for over 10 years.
