Rick is INCREDIBLE! He is absolutely, the best of the best. We had been trying to get our home ready to sell for at least two years. We just could not get the house ready, so we moved in to a rental thinking that would help. Purchasing a home from out of area in today's market is no small feat to say the least. After looking at several homes and working with a couple of different realtors we had almost given up hope on finding a home by the end of 2020. The "good ones" were going faster than we could actually see them and make an offer. By sheer chance, or last-ditch effort, my fiance was looking through FB marketplace listings and happened to see a listing for a home that we had actually looked at previously. At the time we saw it, the realtor had stated that the open house was the next day, it already had multiple offers on it and was already at the peak of our price range, so we didn't pursue it. When my fiance saw it on marketplace, he immediately messaged the original poster to find out if it was actually still available. That person turned out to be Rick who was sharing it for the listing agent of their shared broker. Fiance and Rick started chatting and Rick mentioned that he thought the house was under contract but told us of another one that was about to hit the market so started to have some hope again! On a hunch though, Rick reached out to the listing agent and was able to confirm that the financing had fallen through and the house we loved was going to be re-listed the next day. We immediately put in an offer that was accepted. Also, all of this occurred while Rick's wife was in surgery. He drafted our offer using the wi-fi from a nearby restaurant. After closing, we found out that two other offers had immediately followed ours. Having an agent that went the extra mile just to check for us gave us the advantage we needed to get our offer in quickly and the home we loved under contract in less than 24 hours. We didn't get to actually meet Rick until after we were already under contract.
