Selling your "First Home" comes with a bag of emotions and I'm 100% positive we experienced them all in spades. That being said Ashleigh was patient with us every step of the way, she took every emotion we steamrolled her with like the professional Realtor she is. We were not originally in the market to move, but there was a house we just couldn't pass up. Navigating buying a home while also selling one requires a good deal of planning, negotiating and asking for concessions to make the deal possible from both sides. Ashleigh was great to work with to sell our home. She is extremely knowledgeable and always responded to us quickly no matter the time of day. Not only did she have all of the answers to our questions (or quickly get back to us with information we requested), she was a joy to talk to during our experience! She is kind, friendly, and relatable and has a happy personality that gives off an air of peace. She becomes something like your home selling BFF. Our situation with selling our home became somewhat unusual and had some unexpected hold ups and she was a champion at advocating for us as well as keeping us updated on everything going on. We would definitely choose to work with Ashleigh again in the future.
Ashleigh is the selling agent for this property and my husband and I were the buyers. At the beginning of the process, everything was going smoothly. My husband and I are both disable veterans and according to Ashleigh, the sellers loved that and the fact that we were using a VA loan to purchase the home. Unfortunately, the deal went south when the appraisal on the property came back 50K under what we had offered. Because the home is so beautiful and was perfect for our family, we moved forward with the Reconsideration of Value process that is unique to the VA loan process. During the entire process, Ashleigh was extremely rude and unprofessional in her communications with our realtor and she attempted to bully us into having our earnest money go hard on two separate occasions while waiting for the VA to give us an answer. When the VA said that the property appraisal stood at 265K, she and the sellers decided to back out of the deal. At this point, my husband and I had spent upwards of $2k on inspections for the home. Although this does happen, it was still heartbreaking for us considering all the turmoil Ashleigh had put us through just to not get the home. Fast forward a day, we saw that the house had gone back on the market for 10K over their initial asking price of 285K. The thing that is extremely frustrating about this is that we know that the home is only going to appraise at $265K when dealing with a VA or Conventional loan because the appraisal conducted during our buying situation will still be used. It truly seems that Ashleigh is more concerned with getting a large payout rather than help her clients sell their house. According to Ashleigh, the sellers were out "tens of thousands of dollars" when our deal fell through. It doesn't make any sense to relist the home for even more the second time around. My husband and I harbor no ill will toward the sellers and truly hope they succeed in selling their home, but I absolutely would NOT trust Ashleigh to do so. Her lack of professionalism, rude demeanor, and her tendency to bully people to her will is something that I will never forget. As a first time homebuyer, she has put an extremely sour idea in my mind about buying a home. I recommend that if you want to buy or sell a home, you find someone with more professionalism and your sincere best interest in mind. 2022
