Living in Boston we had visited Sarasota a few times on vacation before we decided to sell our home and relocate. Carissa seemed to be highly recommended on a few Facebook groups. At first we thought we wanted to be in LWR but also had no idea of so many other gated community options in Sarasota. We did a few phone calls from Boston with Carissa before moving. We rented for a year in Palmer Ranch while we explored anywhere from LWR to S.Sarasota to Wellen Park in Venice. Sarasota/Venice is so big that Carissa wanted us to decide our preferred location before pushing forward which is understandable. There are so many factors to weigh (resale, new build, amenities, location, schools to name a few). Ultimately we decided on attempting Skye Ranch, but they werent initially building the floor plan we were interested in. Carissa has a great relationship with a lot of the sales people (as we saw in Skye Ranch) as well as Im sure LWR. She was able to negotiate us a great deal with incentives when the floor plan we wanted became available again, and likely due to her relationship with sales office also they were in touch with her when another opportunity arose. She was knowledgeable in recommending an inspector she knew to hold the new builder accountable to document issues that either needed to be resolved before closing or included as items on to-do list post closing. She also went above and beyond to make closing day feel really special and memorable. We are so happy in our new home and location and thankful to have used her.

She did weekly checks on our home that was under construction and kept us updated with pictures and progress of our home. If you are looking for a realtor in the Lakewood Ranch greater area, wed certainly recommend talking to Carissa! Our family was looking at the possibility of moving to the Lakewood Ranch, FL area and was given Carissas name as a reference. We were out-of-state buyers, so that added some complexity to the process.
When we came to FL to look at homes, she made herself available for an entire day, finding homes that fit our needs in the areas we wanted to check out, so we could see the homes and drive through the area and neighborhoods. During that 1 day (and after visiting many homes), she was able to home in on what we liked design-wise, what we didnt like, talk through new builds and re-sale homes, and more importantly, making sure we were going in with the right mind set.
Its not easy trying to do much of the process remotely, only seeing pictures vs. in person and having the same sense of size / space / neighborhood feeling. Carissa was always available to answer any questions and was willing to go in person to look at homes for us.
When we eventually found the home that we fell in love with, she drove there and made video calls with us showing us the property, really letting us know if it would be a good fit and was in line with what we wanted.
