Obviously anyone with a smart phone can browse houses in their area. My view points prior to working with Jonathan is their job is outdated, much like a concierge at a hotel (just use Google). However Jonathan went above and beyond what my thoughts on what a realtor does.
For starters I gave him a few requirements we were looking for in a home (bedroom number, locations, etc) and he went right to work. He didnt just toss me what I could basically find in a quick realtor/Zillow/Redfin search. He gave me examples of houses that met our requirements but then explained the benefits of some of the other characteristics of either the design, area, amenities, etc. I bounced some houses I had found on other websites and some he explained why they would be good choices, and others why they would not be good choices.
So we finally found a house and on a Sunday, he was willing to show the house and actually do a thorough walkthrough with me. It was more like I was learning about what to look for in houses vs walking with me asking if I like the wall colors.
The house buying prices can be lengthy, frustrating, confusing, and even pop up with some road blocks. He was basically the advocate for us in getting things done that maybe insurance needed or the VA for an inspection. Each time something was needing to be addressed or looked at, he knew a guy. Those contacts you may or may not find in a Google search, but the professional relationship he holds with hood contacts allowed for things to run smoothly.
At the end, when it was all said and done and the process was complete, he was still a major help when insurance accidentally overlooked an issue in the breaker box and needed it fixed ASAP. Jonathan was quick to call a guy get it handled and at no additional cost.
If youre looking at houses online, theres plenty of search engines for that. If youre looking to buy a house, give Jonathan a shout. Very happy customer!
