I recently had the opportunity to work with Kathy Patterson to sell my parents home in Indiana, while living/working in Virginia. She provided excellent support and was responsive when I contacted her (this was especially important to me since I wasn't able to visit the property without jumping on an airplane). In addition to selling the home within 30 days of listing, she provided professional guidance, support, and oversight for all improvements/fixes that had to be made to the property prior to putting it on the market. Over the course of three months (prior to listing), she helped me find and schedule solid/dependable contractors, and then provided oversight of their work as they progressed; this included major interior painting/refinishing and upgrades, ongoing exterior landscaping and lawn/garden maintenance, and concrete/pool work. In addition to being a responsive, professional realtor, Kathy also knows the market around Lawrenceburg Indiana (especially Hidden Valley) well; she priced our home correctly and provided solid advice and guidance during final sale negotiations. She never gave me a reason to question her expertise (i.e. she always had answers to my questions) and was always direct with me (i.e. she doesn't sugarcoat anything). We had a challenging home to sell (unusual floor plan, etc.) and had tried several times over the previous 5-6 years to sell it. Each time we dropped the price dramatically and were unsuccessful. I did some research and we reached out to Kathy. She correctly identified what we would need to do, provided us with referrals to highly qualified contractors to do the work reasonably and on on time, and got us a selling price $25,000 higher than what we'd listed the home for 3 years earlier.
