Like many sellers, I originally had a plan to sell my house By Owner with the thought of how hard could it be? Shawn happened to post a message on Facebook asking if anyone had a property for sale on Silver Lake in Mears. Since I just decided to sell my home, I contacted her and let her know I would consider a selling to somebody with an agent. We met in person to do a walk through, and Shawn and I got along right away. I could tell that she knew what she was doing when it came to selling homes. My gut told me I probably didnt know what I was getting myself into, so I listed my house with Shawn.

I am really glad I did. From the marketing of the house using social media, the large number of showings she had, the interactions with other agents to get feedback, and finally to facilitating the negation for the sale with multiple concurrent offers, there is no way I could have done it alone.

Also, as my property was used part time as weekly vacation rental property, I was not present in the area much of the time it was for sale. Shawn went way above and beyond and helped me multiple times when I had little issues with the home. She was driving by and saw racoons got in the garbage and cleaned it up. She pulled new weeds that sprouted before a showing to make sure the house looked great. She even helped weekly renters get in the house when they showed up and the property manager didnt leave any keys! What realtor does that?

My house ultimately sold quickly in a tough market at a price I am happy with. Without Shawn, I dont think that would have been possible and it definitely would have been impossible for me to facilitate from far away.

Thanks to Shawn, my wife and I are now onto our next adventures without the hassle of a part-time vacation home weighing us down.

Shawn represented the house we bought and insisted it was "well maintained ". This could not be further from the truth. The house is literally falling apart, was cheaply made to look presentable. Paint is peeling, laminate floors are peeling up, everything is caked with an inch of dirt, grime and dust. I'm shocked that there is no honor and integrity with realtors- they just push to close the deal, at whatever cost, and have NO regard for presenting homes honestly.
