I did not have a good experience with Kevin. First of all, he made several mistakes in listing my property which I didn't catch right away. By the grace of God, a retired realtor and his wife were moving to South Park and found my place. They made an offer 2 days after it was listed and that's when I learned how careless and sloppy Kevin was. I wanted to sell my property fully furnished. Kevin did not list it as such. My home had 4 bedroom plus a den. He did not listed it as such. He stated I had an outdoor shed which I didn't have. Luckily since the buyer was an agent himself, I was able to contact him and clarify details about the home. The buyer was extremely thankful I called and confided in me how frustrated he and his wife had been with Kevin as well. I learned Kevin had not shared any of the details we had discussed several times regarding the home and expressed their shock (pleasantly so) when I told them the home came fully furnished. I expressed my frustration to Kevin and he stopped communicating with me. He didn't even have the decency to attend the closing. No, I do not recommend Kevin Copeland as a real estate agent. I purchased the home from his father Clay, 15 yrs earlier and the experience was completely different. Clay was professional, attentive and thorough. Kevin was not. 2020
I have been selling off my 4 plots or about 12 acres of raw land in Jefferson, CO. Over the past couple of years, Kevin was able to get reasonable to great offers to buy my land. Creative and thoughtful listing? No! Quality images in listing? No! Makes clients feel valued? No! Attention to detail? No! Proactive communications? No! We worked with Kevin Copeland, the owner. If we did not catch it on the listing agreement, we would have had a higher commission than we agreed. The first lines of the listing highlighted property flaws. He would not change it. He included some key positive attributes of the property only after we complained they were missing from the listing. His pictures of the property were horrendous--poor quality and poorly representative of the property. He used them exclusively despite us having provided him with quality pictures we had taken ourselves. After complaining to him, he relented and included some of our pictures, too. There was no for sale sign on the lot 3 months after the listing contract was signed. Kevin is inattentive in conversation, a poor communicator and frustrating to work with. For the year of the listing, he never proactively communicated with us. We initiated all communications and he never responded promptly. Out of the 13 listings and transactions we have done through Realtors, this was the least satisfying. Never before have we had to complain to a Realtor we were working with, let alone do it multiple times. Obviously, we won't be working with Jefferson Real Estate again. 2020
