Owen Gill was born in St. Petersburg, Florida and is a die-hard Florida State Seminoles Football Fan! Yet, Owen spent the bulk of his adolescence in Bryson City, a small mountain town in Western North Carolina. It's your stereotypical small town, where everyone knows each other by name and the Friday Night Lights of Division 1A High School Football is king. Although Owen enjoys football at every level, basketball was his passion growing up. Today, that competitive spirit lives on in his three children, Evan, Madison and Colton.
Owen would leave the North Carolina Mountains behind him at the age of 17 for Mobile, Alabama. He attended Murphy High School, where he would meet the love of his life, Adrienne. The fate of the young couples relationship would be tested by a career opportunity that lead Owen back to Tampa Bay area. Owen would spend the next 7 years living apart from Adrienne, working as a salesman in Tampa but she was never far from his mind. They would eventually reconnect in 2006 and exchange vows a few years later in an intimate wedding ceremony in Orange Beach.
In 2009, Owen enlisted in the Alabama Army National Guard. He commissioned as an officer in 2013 upon earning his degree in Secondary Education from the University of South Alabama and has since risen to the rank of 1st Lieutenant. Despite his success in the sales industry, teaching was the long-term plan for his future. Owen has always been drawn to helping people and loves working with children, both in the classroom and on the practice field. However, at the end of the day his teaching career commanded too much time away from his precious family.
Adrienne introduced Owen to the flexibility and freedom she enjoys as a Professional Realtor and she would eventually challenge him to join her journey toward a life by design. Real Estate turned out to be a natural progression, as it allows him to help people without sacrificing his freedom to be present as a husband and father. Owen's work ethic sets him apart from the competition. He does not shy away from putting in the hours required to ensure that the expectations of his customers are exceeded.
When this power couple is not busy listing and selling real estate in both Mobile and Baldwin Counties, you will likely find them cheering on their kids at one field of play or another. Evan, Madison and Colton are all very gifted athletes and excel in a wide variety of sports. Evan is also a talented singer and guitar player, who loves to cover the current country radio hits for his biggest fan, his dad. The only thing that trumps Saturday mornings at the ball field for this super active family, are sunny days with their toes buried in our powder white gulf beach sand and they relish every minute of it!
