with McKinney & Christian Realtors, where she gained a solid

offered by the Birmingham Association of Realtors by the end of her
first year as a Realtor.
BACKGROUND: She has nearly 25 years of experience in the real estate and education industries.
Therita has accumulated many achievements that further certify her expertise in real estate. In addition to
accreditations, she developed a new passion in 2005 that expanded her career in coaching. She is adept
in teaching, innovating, and enriching curricula for new and seasoned real estate agents. Her instructional
lessons include How to Start a Real Estate Business and How to Refocus It. She also teaches proven
sales techniques to convert prospects to clients and How to Develop Marketing Plans. Driven by the
philosophy knowledge is power, she continued her education in 2018 and became an Associate Broker
with EXP Realty.

WORK LIFE BALANCE: Though she is a dedicated real estate professional, Therita stresses the
importance of balancing work and personal life. She always makes time for herself and her family. She
enjoys quiet time, building her relationship with God, going to the gym, and spending time in her kitchen.
She has been married to her husband, Eric Lawler, for 35 years. They have three children: Ashley, Eric Jr.
and Aaron.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS: Therita continues to hone her craft and remain sharp in her field. She is currently
the national membership chair with NAREB (National Association of Real Estate Brokers), board member,
and faith-based chair for the Birmingham Realtist Association. She is also the President of the Alabama
Realtist Women Council. She has achieved Gold Level Sales Achievements and Club of Excellence
awards in addition to obtaining ABR (Accredited Buyer Representative), CRS (Certified Residential
Specialist), GRI (Graduate Realtor Institute), CMRS (Certified Military Residential Specialists), and CDEI
(Certified Distance Education Instructor) designations. She is an owner and qualifying broker of Lawler
Jones Real Estate & Development. Therita plans to continue serving her community and fellow real estate
