William is a native and current resident of Birmingham. He attended and graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (1983) with honors. His major was Business Management and Marketing.

He had a very successful 30-year career with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama, in Sales and Management. William brings with him a talent and skill for building strong customer relationships to ensure their expectations are far exceeded. This was evidenced by 100% retention of his book of business during his 15-year tenure in Sales. His love for real estate and building relationships led him to this new and second career in real estate.

William is married to Debbie Cox Steen and they have two sons and two granddaughters, who live in the Birmingham area. Debbie, had a very successful career with AT&T (formerly BellSouth) as a Product Manager. She later assisted a business partner in launching a successful promotional products company in the Birmingham area. She has since retired and now enjoys spending her time doing volunteer work for the Greater Birmingham Humane Society and spoiling their Maltipoo, named Sophie.

William Steen specializes in luxury homes, business transfers and over the mountain homes transactions.
