Only two years into a new career, Casey Moser is making a mark in the real estate industry. In 2019, Casey achieved the Diamond award and was named a Rookie of the Year by the Pulaski Board of Realtors. Despite the pandemic that plagued 2020, Casey is on track to qualify for the Diamond Award for 2020. His sales volume was over $8 Million last year!
There was life before Porchlight as Casey worked in Telecommunications for a decade. Facing a transfer with his business account management position with Verizon, he opted to take a severance and return to Arkansas. He had always dreamed of becoming a realtor and when the opportunity presented itself, he jumped in with both feet.
Casey tells that the HGTV version of being a realtor is misleading. It looks pretty simple and easy on the TV. He is here to dispel the myth. Realty is: behind the scenes calls, scheduling, meetings, continuing education, meeting with inspectors, letting appraisers in, and paperwork! His hope for the new year is to find an assistant to help with the mountain of paperwork so he can dedicate more time to the clients and their experience.
Casey is a Helping-People-Loving kind of person. At times, when he feels himself slowing down, he ponders on those he has helped along his new career path. There are young families purchasing their first home, folks moving away from rental and into their own home, single moms needing a better living environment, and the family upgrading into their dream home. He says, Every house has a story and I love being a small part of that story.
Rewards? Casey is especially gratified when clients are brought to happy tears at their closing. People genuinely thank him for bringing the property transfer to fruition. Clients often recommend Casey through social media that reinforces Caseys sense of purpose and he then knows he did his job well.
Casey admits to being results driven. He loves all of his job, though he also admits that there are some parts that are not his favorites. However, the BEST is his clients. The title Client is just for the first day of their relationship, after that they become Friends and Family. He measures himself on transaction numbers rather than by volume. He thrives on helping his clients achieve their goal. He sees his involvement in the Real Estate Industry that affords a limitless goal. He knows that he can work as many hours a week to achieve success. He also knows that he must maintain some level of work/life balance.
Life is not all work and no play for Moser. He is married to Clara, a Major in the Arkansas Army National Guard. They have two sons, Dylan (11) and Tyler (9). As a family unit, they are always on the move; hiking, hunting, horseback riding, going to the lake, Wednesday night with the church family, going to parks, board game nights, going out to eat. He adds with a chuckle, That was just last week! We try to spend as much time together as possible. They are a very outdoor and experiential people. Casey says, Im fully aware that time doesnt slow down. We dont get any younger and once a day is through, there is no do-over. In the end it seems people regret the things they didnt do a lot more than the things they did do.
The Moser family is dedicated to giving back to the community through volunteerism. They are supporters of the Arkansas Autism Foundation. (All funds the foundation raises stay right here in Arkansas.) Their son, Dylan, is on the severe side of the autism spectrum. At 11 years old, Dylan is coming out of the non-verbal status and is really becoming more independent. Casey says, With very few words this kid has managed to teach me more about patience and unconditional love that I thought was possible.
Casey is dedicated to his family and hopes that others view him as God-fearing. The friends, family and co-workers describe him as, Driven, Hard Working, and Aways willing to help somebody. That is a great testament to Caseys innermost spirit.
Moser has some advice to new Realtors, Never stop trying to learn about the business. Take classes, read every social media post about the market, get your hands on as many magazines as you can (such as Real Producers). The more tools you have in the toolbox, the more likely you are to build something great.
