Faulkner County, located in the great state of Arkansas, was established on April 12, 1873. It was derived from parts of Conway and Pulaski counties and named after Colonel Sanford C. Faulkner, an Arkansas poet, songwriter, and prominent figure who was popularly known as the "Arkansas Traveler." The county is located in the central part of Arkansas and has a rich history, which can be traced back to native inhabitants such as Quapaw and Caddo tribes.

The city of Conway serves as the county seat and is an essential part of the region's growth and development.
