My family moved to Benson, AZ in 1979 and I've lived in and around Benson ever since. The math adds up to more than 40 years! So long story short, I'm pretty much about as local as you can get without being born here.

I have been selling real estate since 2014 and it has been the most satisfying career I have ever had. In my previous work life I had worked in the printing industry, secretarial, communications, marketing, brand development, web design, food and beverage service, sales and event management.

Interestingly enough, all of these jobs had skills that would eventually prepare me to excel at a job I truly love....real estate. I loved it so much that after 6 1/2 years I took the plunge and not only became a broker, I opened my own brokerage altogether - Mariposa Realty LLC.

Mariposa Realty LLC is based out of St. David, which is a very small town. It is a quiet and friendly, without much in the way of businesses, but it is a wonderful place to live if you love trees and rural landscapes.

Mariposa is Spanish for 'butterfly.' A blue butterfly symbolizes rebirth which I felt was appropriate as my husband and I have both started a new chapter in our lives. He has recently retired, and I have become a broker and opened a new brokerage. Anyone who has done the same will understand it was not as simple as it sounds, but as cumbersome as it was I feel in my heart it will be worth it!

My husband and I have been together for more than 30 years and we enjoy a wide variety of activities or hobbies. Mine include playing with my corgis, music, singing, drawing and painting, gardening, travel, sailing, bicycling and spending time with friends and family. I also even enjoy talking about real estate. (of course)
