After moving to Tucson in 1994, I decided that it was time to not only change locations but career paths too. In my hometown, Sonoma CA, I was a hairstylist and salon owner for 25 years. Moving to Tucson opened all the doors for change!
When family, friends and clients asked me What are you going to do? Open another salon? I said No. Why would I do that when everyone I know is in Sonoma? Im just going to wait and see what knocks on my door.
In a year, I was licensed and selling manufactured housing. Very different from styling someones hair! It was a tough business, but I worked hard and learned what I needed to know about selling, putting together land/home packages, getting my clients qualified and working with contractors and inspectors. Most of this work was new construction which took me all over Tucson and the outlying areas. I became very familiar with the different areas and requirements for building. I was in the top 3 in sales and spent 5 years helping people into home ownership. I found it rewarding.
But soon the opportunity came along to go into the financial side of real estate and I started working for a real estate mortgage broker who had helped me with loans for my manufactured housing clients. I worked with her for 12 years, through the boom years, through the burst bubble years and after. We stayed successful and busy through those difficult years because we knew how to put together concise, detailed loan packages and government loans.
It was only when my companion of 6 years asked me to come join him and his new quickly growing company that I left. During this time as his executive assistant, I also acquired my interior decorators certification. After 5 years of traveling with him and exhibiting at conferences across the nation and abroad there wasnt much for me to do, I grew a little bored. I started staging homes for a dear friend who is a real estate broker in Tucson and it was during lunch one day that he told me his plans for his company. I grew very exciting about what he had to say and the possibility of working for others and helping them in their home search again. Thats when this current portion of my story began.
In 2016 I signed up for the real estate license course and received my license in that year. I joined Realty Executives-The R Group and have been on my way, closing 3 transactions and listing 2 properties in the first 5 months!
Now, I want to help you. I bring all my years of experience in housing, building and financing, and yes decorating, into play for you! Having a good understanding of the housing market, being a good listener when my clients speak and understanding their needs and desires make me the Realtor you want to work with. Im ready to go to work for you!
Sincerely,
Nancy Armanini
