A fun and verifiable fact about the village of Aguila, Arizona is that it is home to the world's largest sundial, known as the "Aguila Sundial." It stands 35 feet tall and has a dial that is 75 feet in diameter. The sundial was built in 1983 by local residents and is still in use today, accurately telling the time with the shadow of its gnomon (the part that casts the shadow).
