He has been representing extraordinary homes for over 23 years and his client's homes have been featured in publications like the New York Times, Los Angeles Times, San Francisco Chronicle and Ocean Home Magazine. Additionally, his listings have been published in Major Architectural magazines such as Architectural Digest, Modernism, Dwell and numerous International publications.
In 2011 he set a new mark for the highest recorded home sale in the history of the South Bay beach cities, representing both buyer and seller in the successful closing of a landmark Ray Kappe designed Manhattan Beach Strand home.
Gerard has been a featured lecturer for the marketing of luxury homes, has been highlighted on numerous real estate TV shows and featured as an expert in the marketing of luxury and architectural homes in newspaper articles, TV and radio. He was the "expert" co-host of a radio series called Architectural Los Angeles on KEIB 1150 am.
Gerard has worked with professional athletes, Chief executives of Fortune 500 companies, celebrities and international business people. He served 8 years on the Redondo Beach city council and has an MBA from Loyola Marymount University.
Recently Gerard started "Game Plan" as another division of his real estate company. This specializes in catering to the specific needs of professional athletes, coaches and alumni and leverages the worldwide Sotheby's brand to help educate and place this unique client. 10% of all proceeds are donated to the largest NFL associated charity "Athletes Helping Kids."
Gerard has been married for 24 years and lives in the community with his wife Angela. He is the high school leader for "All Pro Dad" a faith based fatherhood program based on the commitment and discipline of professional athletics. They have two sons Jonathan, who is attending USC, and David who is in high school.
