Darlene Herr worked in a local insurance agency for 14 years and was the Office Manager there. During that time she finished her Accounting
Degree. After leaving the insurance agency, she moved on to become a Senior Accountant at a large non-profit organization in Clovis, CA. After being there for three years, she wanted to work closer to home. She was hired as Bass Lake Realtys Accounting Manager in November of 2016.
Johnny Herr has been an employee of Sierra Telephone for over 25 years. He is a supervisor there now as well as doing Real Estate with Darlene.
They are both natives of this area. Darlene was born and raised in Oakhurst and Johnny was born and raised in Raymond. They have had an interest in Real Estate for quite some time and became Real Estate investors over 10 years ago. They felt the natural progression for them was to obtain their Real Estate licenses. Their extensive knowledge of the mountain communities is beneficial to Their clients. Their deep roots in the community aid them in Real Estate transactions thru their friendships and business connections that they have developed over the years with local REALTORS, lenders, title companies and service providers.
Darlene was an International Soroptimist of the Sierras member where she served as Treasurer for that organization. She was the coordinator for a local community dinner that was held once a month for senior citizens, homeless people and people just seeking dining companionship. Johnny assisted her with these meals. Darlene has held her Property and Casualty Insurance License, Life insurance License and Notary Public License.
They are both very involved in their church and have lead out in the Children's Ministries there.
They have been married for 33 years and have two adult sons, Joshua and Jeremy who attended Wasuma Elementary School and Yosemite High School. Joshua and his lovely wife Amber live in the Coarsegold area. Jeremy graduated from Reedley College, having attended local classes and he lives in Oakhurst.
Johnnys roots in the mountain area go back even further than Darlene's. Johnny's ancestors were native to this area. They love this area and are anxious to show you just how special this mountain community is to them!
