Jill McGovern is a local Real Estate Broker who got her start in the real estate business through the mortgage industry. Here she learned how money worked and got an in-depth understanding of investments and how loans are processed from start to finish and what lenders requirements are. She also learned how to market herself in a very competitive market place. Jill has a Master's Degree from Pepperdine University in Psychology and understands people and what motivates one to make the decisions that one does. Jill went on into Residential Sales with RE/MAX where she was a top producer and won several awards on a regular basis. Jill left to open her own brokerage firm, Jill McGovern Real Estate, Inc. in Capistrano Beach and now San Clemente CA. she serves all the cities of the South Orange County area and knows them well.
She is known in the business, and has lived for over 40 years in the area. She is an active member of the Orange County Association of REALTORS where she served on the Board as a Director, and as the MLS Chairperson as well as on the Governmental Affairs Committee & Bylaws Chair and the Professional Standards Committee. Her skills in counseling and mediation are used by the Association in settling disputes and mediation. Ms. McGovern has extensive training from Pepperdine University School of Law - Strauss Institute for Dispute Resolution as well as Advanced Mediation Training by NAR from North Western School of Law. Ms. McGovern is a Paul Harris Fellow two times and supports Rotary International. She is active in her community with efforts to provide Christmas for needy children, volunteers in packaging and shipping supplies and care packages to our troops overseas as well as an activist in the community. She is a CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) member. If there is a cause that needs help Jill is usually stepping up to be involved. Jill is a Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS), a designation recognized worldwide, a Certified Residential Property Specialist (CRS), of which only a small percentage of REALTORS go on to achieve. She also holds a Graduate of the Realtors Institute (GRI) Designation, Short Sale and Foreclosure Resource (SFR) Designation as well as an e-Pro Designation!
Passing the time for fun she enjoys breeding and training Arabian Horses and has competed in Endurance Riding and loves to surf and exercise!
