Tina's Story Begins in 1984
When I moved here from Tennessee in 1984 I wanted to go into the Real Estate business, but soon realized its not an easy career to start. Being a REALTOR had everything to do with who you knew and being new in town, I knew nobody. But I didnt let that stop me. I took the grass roots approach. I printed business cards, made cold calls and went door to door, introducing myself to the neighborhood. Eventually I built a successful Real Estate business now known as HomeGate Realty of Nevada.
In January of 2000, I opened HomeGate Realty with my partner Alan Hoffman. The client base grew by leaps and bounds, and it became clear that it was time to relocate to a larger office. Soon, we outgrew that one as well. Next, I decided to branch off on my own to open an independent office in Sparks. Due to the tremendous growth of my office, I was able to move from a 1,200 square foot office space to the beautiful 5,000 square foot office building, located at 1955 Baring Boulevard, which I purchased in 2004.
Tina's Philosophy on Real Estate
Because of my old-fashioned approach of hard work and close customer contact, I feel its important to share what Ive learned with other agents. At HomeGate Realty of Nevada, we have a great team of professionals who share my outlook on Real Estate. I find great reward in growing our businesses together. All my agents are trained in aggressively marketing their listings, actively communicating with their clients and effectively representing buyers.
My Clients needs come first!
When I represent a Seller, their needs are my top-priority. I am respectful of their time, finances and stress. I preview properties, conduct extensive research, and develop strong relationships with vendors, inspectors and other agents as well to make sure that my clients get the best possible treatment and enjoy a smooth transaction.
About the Spencer Family...
I have two daughters, Jennifer and Katrina. Jennifer is married, and living in Arizona, where she works for Special Olympics. She and her husband Matt have given me 2 cute little grandsons! Katrina attends college in California, where she is completing her Masters program and plays volleyball. My husband Brian is a local contractor. I also have 3 step-sons Keith, Brad and Doug. My family enjoys boating, camping, and traveling when time allows.
I am very active in the Sparks Centennial Sunrise Rotary Club, where I currently serve as our Districts Assistant Governor. Serving my community has become a passion in my life. I recently served on the committee re-zoning Elementary Schools in Sparks. By staying involved in my Rotary Club, the Sparks Charter Committee and volunteering at local schools and charities, I am able to give back to the community that has helped make my business and family a success.
HomeGate Realty of Nevada also supports many charity organizations, such as Toys for Tots, The American Heart Association, Rotary International, Bikers Against Child Abuse and lots of local Veterans Projects.
