My dad always had great advice (as most dad's do), but these two pieces of advice have stuck with me over the years. " Do what you love, love what you do and "Choose a job you love and you will never have to work a day in your life!"

Finding the one thing you love is not always easy. I have found, I love many things, but childcare was my love for a number of years (25 yrs to be exact). However, as life changes, goals change & interests changeSo, back in 2007, I made a huge decision to step away from the one thing I thought I would be doing for the rest of my life (teaching) and start a career in real estate. I am thankful for my time in childcare, as it was a wonderful experience and was very rewarding. Becoming a REALTOR has been so rewarding as well and is truly something I love! In 2008, I partnered with another agent and was a top producer during one of the most challenging housing markets, but I gained valuable experience in short sales, REO's & Foreclosures! During this time, many "seasoned" agents in my office would complain that they were doing twice the work for half the pay. Fortunately, I didn't know any differently, so working hard was what I did. I also teamed up with my husband, who is a General Contractor and went into the "house flipping" business. I can say, we had a great time finding the "diamond in the rough" (and back then, there were MANY rough diamonds) and making it beautiful again! Although he now does mostly custom countertops, the experience I gained while working with him flipping homes was priceless.

I currently live in the Fair Oaks area near the American River. I am a country girl at heart, having grown up in the Wilton/Sloughhouse area of Sacramento. I attended a small private school out in Wilton and after college became a preschool teacher and eventually the principal of a large child care facility in the Elk Grove area. I have 3 wonderful girls and am married to my fabulous husband, Michael. I love spending time together with my family ~ going for walks along the many trails of the American River Parkway and Sailor Bar; traveling to Hawaii and Oregon where we have extended family. I also walk, train and raise funds throughout the year with the Komen Hand Up For Hooters Team. Every November, I and my teammates join the big "Pink Bubble" at the Komen 3-Day in San Diego and walk 60 miles over 3 days. We raise funds for research, studies, education and support for those who have been diagnosed with breast cancer.

My goals in real estate are to help my family, friends, and clients fulfill their dream of homeownership and work by referrals so that I can provide my clients with the first class service they deserve.
