Douglas County has been home to me for over 40 years. In my childhood I was lucky to travel the world with my parents. I love seeing new places and experiencing other cultures, but nothing compares to the feeling of home.
In the late 1970s my mother was elected Douglas County Recorder, an office she held for a single six-year term. My father was a builder from the 1960s through the 1990s, constructing dozens of beautiful custom homes and community projects, including the Gazebo in Minden Park. Conversations at the dinner table often involved topics I now use every day as a Realtor.
