I first became a licensed realtor in Olympia when I was 21, before I went back to college (TESC). I've worn a lot of hats since then. My background includes working in family and childrens services, serving as the executive director of the Pacific Coast Shellfish Growers Association, founding and managing a shellfish farm in Port Townsend, and enjoying a professional career as a jazz singer, songwriter, and recording artist.
I've come full circle, bringing all my life experiences to bear on my real estate career, first in Arizona, and now back home again in Washington.
Throughout these vocational changes, my husband Peter and I built and remodeled numerous homes, both as investors and homeowners. This experience is integral to my ability to negotiate on behalf of both buyers and sellers.
I enjoy working with clients no matter where they are on their life journey -- from first-time home buyers to down-sizers, relocations, vacation and move-up homes.
Im an Accredited Seller Representative Specialist and an Accredited Buyers Representative, two designations credentialed through the National Association of Realtors. Which is a fancy way of saying Ive completed the courses, and proven through past experience and recommendations, that Im qualified to represent both buyers and sellers throughout their home selling and buying process. I'm also a certified agent with Home Partners of America, helping my not-yet-ready-to-buy clients with lease-to-own options.
Im also honored to serve as a trustee with the Thurston Housing Land Trust, a non-profit organization committed to creating affordable homeownership opportunities. Working with other members of the local community its our goal to make the dream of home ownership a reality for individuals and families who might not otherwise be able to afford it. Because there really IS no place like home!
