She holds a Bachelors Degree in Accounting, passed the CPA exam and began her professional career in Corporate Audit providing senior management with recommendations to improve and strengthen departments, systems and their business. Working for a large insurance and financial institution based on the East Coast, her position afforded her the opportunity to travel and lead teams throughout the U.S. consulting from everything from A to Z. After a one year assignment in California, she packed up and decided to relocate to Walnut Creek and dove into sales in the Health & Benefits field and later became the A.V.P for Retirement Plan Sales in Northern California at a West Coast brokerage headquartered in San Francisco. She believes strongly in giving back and the philosophy of when you reach it, teach it!
Mary Ellen has been sharing her mastery of business, financial and sales skillsets to fellow agents, brokers, customers and employees in a wide range of industries throughout California since 1995. She is experienced in developing and delivering one on one, branch management, group and companywide training as well as developing curriculums and annual training conferences. Mary Ellen served as the leader of a Corporate Management Advisory Committee and as the Chairperson of a Non-Profit Organization (which hosts Walnut Creek on Ice.) She is an active member of a Parkinson Research Fundraising organization, Danville Concours delegance. She resides in Alamo with her two sons Chase and Walker, her chief and the most endearing motivators in all she does.
