Napa County is a county located in northern California, USA, and was founded in 1850. The county seat is the city of Napa, which is the largest city in the county.

The area that is now Napa County was originally inhabited by the Wappo Native American tribe. The first non-native settlement was established by George C. Yount, who arrived in the area in 1831 and built a log cabin near present-day Yountville. During the California Gold Rush of the 1850s, Napa County experienced a boom in population and economic growth.

Napa Countyis one of the premier wine regions in the world. The county has over 400 wineries and is known for producing some of the finest wines in the world, particularly Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir. The region's unique climate, soil, and geography make it ideal for wine production, and it attracts wine lovers and tourists from all over the world. The Napa Valley wine region is also home to several Michelin-starred restaurants, luxury resorts, and spas, making it a popular destination for foodies and travelers seeking a luxurious experience.
