One of the most significant historical events in Pasadena, California was the Tournament of Roses Parade. The first Tournament of Roses Parade was held on January 1, 1890, as a way for Pasadena residents to showcase their beautiful flowers and mild winter weather to the rest of the country. The parade quickly became a beloved tradition, not only in Pasadena but across the United States. In 1902, the tradition of the Rose Bowl Game began, which made the parade even more popular.
