Read on!
One fun and verifiable fact about the history of Fullerton, California is that it was originally founded as a railroad town in the late 1800s, with the Santa Fe Railroad Company building a railroad through the area in 1887. The town was named after George H. Fullerton, a land surveyor and railroad official who helped secure the right-of-way for the railroad. Today, one can still see the historic Santa Fe Depot in downtown Fullerton, which was built in 1930 and now serves as a transportation hub for Amtrak and Metrolink trains.
