Jacky Christian came to Southern Colorado in 1995 with her husband Mike and four children. Finding Cuchara, Colorado after living in Phoenix, Arizona was like finding another world where "Time Stood Still" in a world gone crazy. She felt their family had found a Hidden Treasure that only a very few knew existed. In this place it was as though you "Stepped back in time" and lived in one of the Absolute Most Beautiful places ever seen.
The familys first experience was shopping at the Cuchara General Store and having to step over a large Saint Bernard named Princess to even enter the store. The front page of the local Signature newspaper read, Hackysack ball stolen from Guatemalan shop on Main Street. This was again Front page headlines and Mike and Jacky knew this was where they wanted to raise their children with the only crime spree being at the Guatemalan shop.
Mike and Jacky started a church in the Cuchara area and they both worked at Cuchara Mountain Resort in the Marketing area.

Previously Jacky had worked several years in New York for Wilhelmina Models and then switching to Ford Models,she worked all over the world as a High Fashion Photographic Model. From New York to Japan to Paris and Germany as well as Morocco, Belgium and the Philippines to name just a few places she worked prior to moving to Colorado. After seeing all the Breathtaking places around the world Jacky and her husband, Mike felt their portion of Southern Colorado was truly home.
It was more than they had ever dreamed of and raising their children in this small town area was a best case scenario. All four graduating from University's and Colleges and now on to successful futures. Jacky decided with the kids well on their way to their own futures that she might help others find what she had found living in such an amazing area.
Starting Capture Colorado in 2002 with a genuine love for the area now gave her the ability to help others beat the rat race and slip away to this Incredible area called La Veta, Cuchara, and Stonewall, Colorado. One of her favorite phrases was "Come for a Day and Stay for a Lifetime! She now lives that phrase. Let Jacky help you Capture your dream of living in an area that could change your life forever.
