What you need to know: Susan Dillingham is a rare breed of Aspen localshe was born here and is a third generation Asepnite. Other than a brief stint living in a teepee on a mesa in Telluride (where she gave birth to her son, Levi at the hospital in Montrose) Susan has lived in the Roaring Fork Valley all her life. She is equally as passionate for real estate as she is for her home. She was only 19 when she got her first job at the Remax in Aspen and has 30 years in the business under her belt. I couldnt legally drink in the state of Colorado when I got my real estate license, she says. Ive stayed in real estate this long because there is always something new; new properties, new clients, new problems to solve. Youre always doing something different every day and thats why its kept my interest for so long.
As a mom to two young adult children, Susan loves working with first-time buyers, especially kids who grew up in the valley and need to figure out a way to buy into its ever-rising prices, but she is comfortable working in high-end luxury real estate, too. She sells properties from Aspen to Rifle and wouldnt have it any other way, bringing a wealth of market knowledge and a wide variety of contacts.
What she brings to the table: Susan is known for her forthright can do, get-it-done attitude, and assertive nature. No matter what the property, large or small, Susan brings a white glove service to all her clients.
On a personal note As a former member of the Aspen Valley Ski Club, Susan ski raced nationally. She still enjoys skiing/snowboarding with her 22-year-old son, Levi, and 20-year-old daughter, Amber. They also bike, camp, hike, horseback ride, boat, waterski and love to go to live concerts. Susan loves enjoying the outdoors with her rescue pups Oakley and Lollie and will always try anything once, twice if she likes it.
