A graduate of Penn State University and Columbia University Business School, Eric moved to Crested Butte in 1971 from New York City. Over the past 40 years he has owned and operated Penelopes Restaurant, The Powerhouse Bar & Grill, and the Cement Creek Tavern. At this time he continues to own and operate the Wooden Nickel. Through the 70s and 80s, he was active in the building business and renovated several historic properties in Crested Buttes commercial core, developed condominiums and several commercial projects. Having served on the Town Council and several boards ( the Center for the Arts, Crested Butte Academy and the Crested Butte State Bank ), Eric offers clients extensive knowledge of the area. Because of his experiences, he is comfortable with all types of real estate and is knowledgeable in all aspects of the continuing development of the Crested Butte/Mt. Crested Butte area. Living in the Crested Butte Meadows, he and his wife Ruth raised their two children Pearce ( a graduate of Penn State currently working in the film industry in Hollywood) and Alexis (now attending Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo).
