Hagen Kuhl is originally from Central Florida and moved to Colorado in 1998 to live in the mountains. Since moving to Colorado Hagen has lived in Loveland Colorado, Aspen-Snowmass, and currently lives in Gypsum Colorado with his six year old son Luke. Hagen has successful careers as an Emergency Medical Technician Paramedic (EMT-P) serving in the Denver Metro Area and Aspen Snowmass area for 10 years, and as a Deputy Sheriff serving Eagle County for 9 years. In addition Hagen graduated from Colorado Mountain College with an Associates in General Studies in 2003, University of Phoenix with a Bachelors of Arts in General Psychology, and he holds a Masters Degree in Forensic Psychology from Argosy University. Hagen believes in lifelong learning and seeking first to understand then to be understood.
In 2013 Hagen suffered a major medical illness. As a result of this experience, Hagen came to realize how invaluable the help and support of a community truly is. Hagen began to look for ways he could give back to the world and he quickly adopted a act local think global mind set. Hagen started a scholarship called the Eagle County Law Enforcement Endowed Scholarship at Colorado Mountain College. This scholarship has three separate criteria and allows for family members of fallen law enforcement, children of current law enforcement officer, and the general public to attend Colorado Mountain College at no charge. and This scholarship serves as a reminder of the fallen law enforcement officers of Eagle County. Hagen donates a portion of all commissions he earns to this fund and he is planning on starting more scholarships for public safety professionals, nurses, and future business owners.
