1. Dotsero is a small community located in Eagle County, Colorado, in the western part of the state.

2. The village is situated at the confluence of the Colorado River and the Eagle River, making it a popular destination for river activities like rafting, fishing, and kayaking.

3. Dotsero is known as the gateway to the Glenwood Canyon, which is home to scenic hiking trails, biking paths, and hot springs.

4. The population of Dotsero is estimated to be around 300 people, and the area is primarily agricultural, with ranches and farms dotting the landscape.

5. The village is named after the nearby Dotsero volcano, which is believed to be the youngest volcanic feature in Colorado and last erupted approximately 4,200 years ago.

6. Dotsero was also the site of a devastating wildfire in 1983 that burned over 13,000 acres and destroyed numerous homes and buildings in the area.
