The story of my client, Andrea, illustrates what a Chief Dream Officer is.
We were sitting in a new construction sales office discussing a home she was considering. I asked, "Will buying this home lead you to your dreams?" Andrea responded with a look of dismay that said, "Have you heard a single word I've said?!"
"Andrea, I'm not asking you if this is your dream home. I know it's not." Now she understood. Andrea was selling her dream home, replacing it to liberate some equity and to lower her monthly payment. She wanted to travel. Andrea missed her kids and she also loves the Mediterranean.
She bought the house.
Now when I'm on Facebook I see that she's posting a map with a big arrow from Denver to Bostonflying to see her kids. And later, her posts are from Barcelona.
What being a Chief Dream Officer means to me is that I understand your needs and wants, your dreams. What it means to you is they become real.
