Monique spent her early life in the slow paced mountain town of Telluride and the fast paced world of Orange County. She took several fashion courses and eventually fell into the world of fashion through modeling. After several years in the fast paced and often time intensive industry she decided she wanted a change of lifestyle reflecting her strong work ethic.
With her focus on family, health and community, she immersed herself learning about farming and food production and quickly fell in love with organic Farming. In her nine years on a local farm, Monique assisted in growing the facility from a quarter acre garden to over six gardens ranging up to 2 acres. While in her off season, Monique was employed working mostly with special needs children contributing to societies often overlooked members.
Moniques introduction to real estate began with an opportunity to work with one of the top teams in Durango of Alix Rowland and Tiare Flora. Her evolution from assistant to a licensed broker helped establish the formation of Team North Star, with the valuable addition of John Ralph. They focus on servicing all real estate needs from listing homes, ranches, land, commercial, multifamily as well as assisting all buyers for purchases and lease in La Plata County.
Through her experiences, Monique has realized her passion for agriculture, the outdoors and her community. She is a firm believer in treating others how you want to be treated. She is a hard worker, great communicator, enthusiastic, and ready to get outside, hike around, and help you find your dream home or ranch.
Through her work with Team North Star, Monique hopes to serve and strengthen this incredible community. Her goal is to connect individuals, couples and families with not just a house, but a new place to call home in Southwest Colorado. Just as she fell in love with Durango so many years ago, she is here to help you do the same in our wildly diverse Colorado country.
