1. Burlington is home to Sessions Woods Wildlife Management Area, a 700-acre nature preserve that provides hiking trails, educational programs, and hunting opportunities for visitors.
2. The town has a population of around 9,400 people and covers an area of 30 square miles. It is part of the Hartford-West Hartford-East Hartford Metropolitan Area.
3. The region surrounding Burlington is known for its breweries and wineries, some of which offer tours and tastings to the public.
4. The town is also home to Burlington State Fish Hatchery, which raises and releases thousands of fish each year into the state's rivers and lakes.
5. Burlington is part of the Region 10 school district, which includes the towns of Harwinton and Plymouth. The district has four schools, including Lewis S. Mills High School, which serves students in grades 9-12.
