East Haven is a town in New Haven County, Connecticut, located on the shore of Long Island Sound. It was founded in 1785 and has a population of approximately 29,000 people. The town is known for its beaches and seafood restaurants, as well as its historical sites such as the historic district of the center of town and the East Haven Town Green. It is also home to several parks and hiking trails, including the Farm River State Park and the Saltonstall Mountain Preserve.
