Grady is originally from Texas. He attended Angelo State University where he obtained a degree in Business Management and played on the ASU Rams basketball team. He owned his own sign and marketing business for 10 years in Texas. Grady relocated to the Destin area in 1995 where he worked with Prudential Securities as a stock broker. He soon realized that real estate was his true calling and he obtained both his real estate and broker's license. In 1999, he was hired as the managing Broker for Sterling Realty (formerly known as REI, one of the oldest real estate companies in Destin. He built Sterling Realty up from a single office of 5 agents to a Real Estate Company that had two main branches and 10 satellite offices and over 40 agents who garnered sales in excess of a billion dollars. Sterling Resorts and Realty sold in 2008 and Grady decided to form his own Real Estate Company and named it Preferred Beach Properties. Grady partnered with Garrett McNeil of JGM Development and an investor from Tennessee to form the dynamic new company. Two years later Preferred Beach properties merged with Coldwell Banker United to form the Preferred team. Grady is an avid golfer and fisherman. Grady realizes the challenges ahead in the real estate market and is both excited and optimistic about the future.
