Moving to Florida in 1989 was a wonderful experience. After a hard time finding a home here and working with less than helpful real estate agents I made the decision to become a Realtor. I received my license in 1991, and after working for some of the area's best brokers and training for over 20 years I got my brokers license and opened my own office Modern Realty of Putnam Inc. in 2012. Opening my own company gave me the new freedom and control to things MY WAY, and my way is to make purchasing a home a happy and less stressful occasion.

I married Victor Owens on Christmas in 2018 and he received his real estate license this year. We make a great team! I am now the 2nd mom to three teenage children an kitty mom to two insane cats.

In 2021 after moving to St. Augustine we decided it was time to move the office closer to home. We chose downtown Palatka for the new location at 326 St. John's Avenue. We are right beside the courthouse and across from the property appraiser office, what a great location! We are excited to be meeting our customers old and new in the new location. We have changed our name to Modern Realty of Florida because we feel that we served so much more than just Putnam County. We cover all of North Central Florida. However we are firmly rooted in Putnam and we are so excited to part of the activity and growth going on in Downtown Palatka. We expect big things here in the next few years.
