Born and raised in Miami, FL, I'm well embedded in the South Florida lifestyles. If you're a native like myself, you may have heard of our family business. My father, Dennis Calhoun, ran Calhoun & Son Inc. alongside my grandfather, Melvin Calhoun, aka "Pop," if you knew him well. This was a drywall/plaster contractor company. My grandfather started it in 1959 and my father retired it back in 2017. They worked on dozens of homes in many places such as Cocoplum, Sunrise Point, Fisher Island, other Coconut Grove locations, the Florida Keys and so much more. Their work included the first Waffle House in the Keys and commercial properties, too. Point is, I've been exposed to a healthy variety of homes, properties, people and lifestyles ever since I was young. My experience in commercial real estate comes from my father - he owns 65 warehouses around the Miami Executive Airport area. He taught me the ins and outs of the business and what it takes to grow wealth through passive income.
