I grew up in Dubuque and after going to college and traveling the world, I decided to make Dubuque my home again. I got married and I have two beautiful children that I adore. My husband and I have knocked down walls, drywalled, painted, installed new windows, refinished wood floors and I have loved (almost) every minute of it. We are proud landlords of our first home that we spent many years renovating. We happily live in our second home and continue with our obsession with renovation. I am so grateful to have the space to create memories with my family in. I understand how lucky I am and want to share my knowledge and wisdom to help others find the home of their dreams.
I began my interest in real estate in college when I took several architecture classes. I loved designing functional spaces that are beautiful to look at and feel good to be in. One of my favorite parts of class was touring homes and seeing how each space is as unique as the people who live in it. Later in my formal schooling I graduated with a teaching degree. I went on to teach Art in the Dubuque Community School System for 10 years. I plan to use some of the skills I honed as a teacher and apply them to being an exceptional realtor. I like working hard. I try to do what is right and be kind to people no matter what position I am in. I am a great listener and a problem solver. Those qualities made me a excellent teacher and I believe they will make me a great realtor.
