I have been in Northeast Florida almost all my life. My college years were in Virginia, Tennessee & Alabama; after marriage, I was back in VA while my husband attended law school. My real estate career started in 1985 after successful forays into the world of media. I thought I'd really miss the craziness of media work, like being first to know about all the news, helping companies promote themselves and their products, and being part of all of the area's happenings. In short, I was on the go all the time and loved having all doors open - I was always learning. It turns out that my real estate career offers many of the same opportunities, which I take advantage of every day, expanding my knowledge base in order to share firsthand information with my clientele.
My slogan, Resourceful/Responsible/Respected, paints the picture of my work ethic. My goal is to help my customers make the best decisions through sharing my experiences and knowledge with honesty and integrity. I truly love what I do - it's fun after all these years because almost every day I learn something new. It's never dull, always challenging and full of variety.
Our company motto is 'Professionals who put YOU first.' When I know that our customers are happy years after the transaction ended, that's the greatest feeling. Much of our business is either from former customers or from people in the community who refer friends and family to us. With us, each transaction is really all about that particular customer.
In 2010, I had the honor of serving my peers as President of our Northeast Florida Multiple Listing Service. My professional volunteer activities have included constructing Habitat homes, chairing the Realtors' Association Education Committee, serving on the Grievance Committee and the State of Florida Realtors Board of Directors, editing documents used by our membership, and serving on numerous ad hoc committees. Twice I've been honored by my peers as "Realtor of the Year."
Outside of work, I enjoy volunteering, primarily with The Players Championship golf tournament, where I have chaired committees for many years and from which millions of dollars annually goes back into our community's charities, including arts groups like local museums, children's groups like BEAM (which provides school, food and clothing items to children in need, among other things), local education foundations, and conservation groups. I play tennis, love to walk/run the beach and find shark's teeth and shells, enjoy pro sports, flying, writing, dining out, travelling and learning about others' customs and cultures, especially as reflected in architecture.
I hope that if you are interested in learning about the area as you search for a home, you'll let me know. One of my favorite things is introducing my customers to our wonderful area. I don't know of more beautiful beaches than ours! On top of that, we have the wonderful Intracoastal Waterway and the stunning St. Johns River. Jacksonville is truly the River City by the Sea, and what a rich environment that provides!
