I visited Florida for the first time when I was nine years old and was immediately enamored by the Gulf of Mexico. My family moved here one year later and I have called the Panhandle home ever since! The most memorable part of growing up as a barefooted, sun-soaked Floridian was making myself a beach fixture for the better part of every year.
St. George Island has always been my go-to when I need beach time. Its a quick dash from most places in the Panhandle and it is a constant source of beauty and contentment. In the last few years I have been fortunate enough to call the Forgotten Coast HOME!
When I come over the bridge to St. George Island, I can feel my weekday woes disappear, and by the time I reach the Welcome sign, Im in full relaxation mode. My favorite things to do on our coastlines are walking along the beach in the early morning hours, catching giant red fish in the Bob Sikes cut, boating across the bay to Apalach for lunch, adoring the sunset views, and star gazing from the dock at night.
I believe that passion is contagious, and I truly enjoy sharing my excitement and gratitude for our beaches and their constant beauty. I am incredibly lucky to have the opportunity to help others find their own piece of paradise right here on the Forgotten Coast!
