Gulf County is located in the panhandle of Florida, along the Gulf of Mexico. According to the 2018 U.S. Census, Gulf County had a population of 15,964 people. Of that population, approximately 65.3% were White, 30.7% were African American, 1.4% were Hispanic or Latino, and 2.5% were another race or two or more races. The median household income for Gulf County was $45,921 and the median home value was $138,800.
