I have been buying and selling real estate in Georgia since 2003 as a top producer for Keller Williams Realty and specialize in the Lake Lanier area which covers five counties: The majority of the lake is in Hall and Forsyth county, The 400 North area covers Dawson and Lumpkin County, with some on the extreme south end being Gwinnett. I fell in love with real estate and my family and I have bought and sold over 50 properties. I have gained a tremendous amount of knowledge from being personally involved on both sides of the transaction many times. I wanted to profit as much as possible as the purchaser or seller and learned all I could to pursue that. I transfer those same skills to the clients I work with. I want the people I work with to enjoy their real estate adventures as much as I have and at the same time, knowing the agent they are working with is competent and doing everything possible to accomplish their goals.
The market is constantly changing and impossible to keep up without new education and tools. Having always been an education geek, I usually renew my broker's license with double the amount of Continuing Education mandated. Biography: I grew up in a small town joining the North Georgia Mountains at Lake Chatuge, known as Hayesville, North Carolina. After graduating from college in Atlanta, GA in 1984, I returned to NC where I became a strong team member in our family's manufacturing business. When NAFTA passed, we had no choice but to move our families to Texas where I worked in Mexico for 7 years. We missed the south and returned home in 2002. I have 3 children, Rachel is a math genius at University of North Georgia and bought her first home at 19 with an FHA loan!, Ryan attended 4 years of high school at Chestatee and is now enjoying life in Los Angeles, CA. Joshua is loving 9th grade at Gainesville High School. with an obsession for percussion and kayaking on Lake Lanier. I am married to Joey Forbes who brings 28 years experience to Gainesville Middle School and High School as a band director and percussion specialist. He was chosen as Teacher of the Year for 2015 for the entire district. He is also writing a book on band fundamentals he hopes to publish soon and is the drummer for a southern rock and roll band just having fun. We are active in everything at Lanier Hills Church which feeds our souls!
